Final product, Version 5, of the Comprehensive Plan nearing completion.

Following the Public Hearing in July, the Planning Commission has been working diligently to review and act on the comments that were received during and after the Public Hearing.  Over the past month the Commission has put the final touches on the Plan so that the consultant can put all the pieces together and provide the Commission with a version that will be ready to vote on and ultimately be presented to the Town Council for approval.

The Commission expects to have a Version 5 to review and send to Council in October.

Version 2.3 Change Matrix Available for Review

The Planning Commission and Planning Team have been working diligently  over the past several months to continue refining the Draft Comprehensive Plan in preparation for the next round of community engagement — Public Hearings. The Pre-Version 1 and Version 1 Change Matrices that were published in January 2018 helped inform a second Draft of the Plan. The Draft (Version 2.3) was distributed to the Planning Commission for review and comment, and the Version 2.3 Change Matrix was produced as a result. The Version 2.3 Matrix is available below, and helped inform a third Draft of the Plan. Continue to follow along with the Plan Update by checking back here or visiting the Town of Purcellville website for the latest schedule of Planning Commission Work Sessions on the Plan.

Join the Planning Commission for an “Open Mic” Session on Wednesday, December 5th!

On Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, join the Purcellville Planning Commission for an “open mic” public engagement event to review and discuss the Purcellville Comprehensive Plan Update (“Plan Update”)! Check out the latest version of the plan here.

Details of the “Open Mic” session are as follows:

The Comprehensive Plan is an important set of policies and goals that guide the future development of the Town. Purcellville’s current Comprehensive Plan was adopted in December 2006 and looks forward to the year 2025. The Plan Update (currently underway) will incorporate changes the Town has already seen over the past decade and reflect Purcellville’s vision for the Town into the future. Input from community members is essential in the comprehensive planning process.
